Who I Am And Why I Wrote This
Hi, my name is Joshua Rodriguez. You may recognize my name from websites like www.WealthCreationsNetwork.com or www.JEMCreditCards.com or www.CarsHelpingCharities.org or many of my other sites. The thing is, I have made my career in internet marketing. I enjoy more than anything working on financial based websites but, I have made any website that I've touched profitable!
With that said, I get a lot of emails. Many of which ask me, what I do to make my websites profitable? How do I market them? How do I get the targeted traffic that I need? Well, I am writing this hub so that any time someone asks me any of these questions, I can send them here. In this hub, I will layout my entire marketing strategy! I welcome the competition and trust me the market is healthy enough to provide for us all. With that said, If you are ready to learn, continue reading below!
On-Site Marketing Tips
O.K., the first thing you need to know is that most of your internet marketing will happen off of your website not on it! As a matter of fact, your work on your site should only equate to about 10% of what you do to market your site in total. With that said, here are a few tips for on site marketing:
- Write For Consumers Not Profits: First things first. Greedy people never win. When a website is created only for profits not because the owner has a passion, the consumer can tell! No one likes to purchase anything from anyone that doesn't believe in their own product. Make sure that the product that you decide to market is one you are passionate about and that you can provide valuable information to consumers about. Once you write for consumers, they will read which brings traffic and equates to profit!
- Use <title> And <meta> Tags: Be informative in your title and meta tags. These tags are not seen by readers however, search engines do take them into account when listing websites so, take the time to make sure they are right. Do a little research on title and meta tags to make sure you get it right!
- Content Is King: Finally, content is important. Not just any content, unique content. Make sure that your website has a content to code ratio of at least 33% and that the content is unique and useful to the consumers! The more content you have, the more you will show up in search engines!
A Bit About Links
Now we get into off site marketing also known as, search engine optimization. SEO takes a bit of work. The key to it is creating back links. Simply put, you want thousands of websites to link to yours. However, you don't want them to be low quality sites, they need to be high quality high pr websites.Within your links, you must use the correct anchor text. For instance in the link The Best Place To Submit Articles, the anchor text is "The Best Place To Submit Articles". Your best bet is to use the keywords that you want to show up in search engines for in your anchor text.
Getting Links By Submitting Articles
Articles like this one are a great way to get links. As a matter of fact, I want to link from it as well. Because I am providing Free SEO Training, I might as well link to my SEO Training website Rank Jumper SEO. This is the key to article marketing.
There are thousands of article submission websites just like this one that offer the ability to submit your articles and in return give you links to your website! These links are of high quality as long as the website that you are link from is of high quality and your articles are unique on each article directory. As a matter of fact, links from duplicate articles can hurt your website stats!
Getting Links By Helping People
As you will find if you search, there are many forums out there that allow you to answer questions posted by other consumers. After each answer, you are allowed to post a link. This is another way to get high quality back links.
Also, by being a member on most forums, you will be given a profile page. This profile page is another place where you are able to build links. I go deeper into detail about forum links on my Rank Jumper SEO website!

Great tips here...keyword research is important as well...just like content. It's true that having a passion for a subject is dead on and helping people should be the main focus in internet marketing.
Promoting your website or blog is the real pain in the butt. I have found that if you get back links to websites with a high PR rank, this helps with getting a good google rank for certain keywords.

Thanks for the tips, however when I went to the totally free SEO website it was again not as described. You still had to jump through hoops to get the "high pr expression engine form list" (there were several listed, but only one operational) and my credit is bad enough without having to subtract a few more points from it by fulfilling an offer for the sake of trying to get a "free" list. Some people are unemployed and desperate to seek truly free help. The tips are helpful, but link was not "Free" as described. It has always been my opinion that if I tell someone it is "Free" I don't make them do me favors to get it. Still non-committal on voting for this hub. Will have to think long and hard about my opinion on this one.

Marla Neogra, I give free tips, the training is absolutely free! However, there are some things that you need to be able to do SEO. Although you can go scrub your own list, I have made it simple by providing my own. However, I wanted a way to give it for free yet still be rewarded for my work and efforts in teaching. This is the only way that I saw that would be fair to all parties involved. I'm sorry that you took offense to this but, the training is truely 100% free, you can read all the training articles and I don't even ask you to sign up for the site!

One thing we have learned is SEO on the page is less important than the value of the content to the readers. We teach newbies how to optimize articles, be they hubs or blogs. On article optimization is so simple now a nine year old can do it. It is what happens after the article is posted which pulls in the rank. Of course this article on website optimization is right on the money.
There are a few of us now who are doing social SHARING of articles which interest us and we find it is helping with our page ranking also. This hub is being sent to my twitter followers.

I was enjoying your article and it suddenly ended. Did you mean it to end so abruptly or are you planning to add some more?
